I think you might have busy in you works. and missed the cool look of your gmail box.
this is how it is done.
1. goto your mail setting->themes.
2. now scroll down,
3. you ll find two new
themes, "preview(dense), preview."
4. set the preview(dense) as your theme.
5. done now your gmail will have a look of google+.
