Unlist your number from Truecaller.

Hello readers,

Few days back, a friend of mine downloaded an application from google play store "TrueCaller." At first look, I was impressed as it shows the detail like name, Circle (Location), Provider of the mobile numbers. But later, It clinched my mind about something, we all know privacy. It is now a trending issue all over the world. So just make sure you unlist(delete) your number from TrueCaller database. If privacy is not an issue with you, Then don't mind. 

Here are the very simple steps.

1. Click Here to go TrueCaller Unlist page.
2. Select your country from the list. 
3. Type in the number in the specified field.
4. Enter the captcha code too.
5. And click the Message icon down to the page.
6. Now you are done.

It will take a while (upto 24 hours) to completely unlist from their database.

Recent changes to facebook

Hi readers,
I think you have noticed recent changes done to facebook. If not, I have listed some of the changes.

1. Now you can add images to your comments on a friends wall. Earlier you could add text or links to a comment. Here is a snapshot of it.
   
   
2. Now you can see the number of latest updates besides HOME link. There will be a number showing the count of total updates.

Deactivating is very simple, no need to call anyone. just message EXCELP Stop to 53738. and you are done, your excel power scheme is deactivated. And I believe the call rates as of now in this scheme, no one will activate again.

Another Free Antivirus

Hi fellas greetings.
Last week I was searching sourceforge.net for some software and accidentally I found an antivirus. Before that I was wondering whether there is any open source antivirus. And i got it.
Today I am gonna tell you about a free anti virus. It is open source. Ok the name. It is Clam win anti virus. Can be Found at sourceforge.net.
you dont need to buy any license for it. ya the main features are :-

• Scanning scheduler
• Automatic virus database updates on a regular basis.
• Standalone virus-scanner.
• context menu integration (right click)
• it also has a portable version ( can be carried on a flash drive)

Ya if we talk about real time scanning, you will not get it in the standalone version of this installer package. but dont worry. there is a solution. You can download clam sentinel which acts as a real time scanner for it. 

if you are not an advanced user and just happy with your simple protection, you can use it. but for high end users I wont recommend it.

what makes it fall back is its slow scanning in nature and you will not get protection from online virus, all that you will be safe is on a internet less system.  I personally used it for three days and my ratings follows as below.

Start-up           :  8/10

Scanning         :  3/10

Web Security   :  0/10

Updates           :  7/10

Interface          :   4/10

As a open source user I may switch to it but at a later period if I will get more features.

But in my opinion it is the best anti virus for home users without internet.
